トロントに拠点を置くプロデューサー、ビジュアルアーティストだ。彼は、『sanssoleil』名義以外でも、『minidisco』Hydraulic、Manitou2としてもレコーディングしている。彼は、ギャラリーにてオーディオインスタレーションも手がけている。2005年、彼のオーストラリアのliquid Architecture exibisionではインスタレーションを。一方、ネットでは　オーディオプロジェクト『from 0 to 1 and backagain』。フランクフルトのKunsthalle Schirnでの展示、ドイツWelleとHessischerRundfunkのラジオでの特集。2000年、実験音楽家としてPrix italianの候補に挙がる。フィールドレコーディングにおいては、ロンドンのResonance eyesに’2006年のタレント10’にノミネートされる。2008年の予定。ミースファンデルローエのトロント自治領センター、秋にはロシアのサンクトペテルスブルグ州ギャラリーでインスタレーション予定;、ベルリンではウェデマイヤーのビデオアーティスト、アーノルドとの共演を予定。

もはや伝説となったDERRICK MAY主宰の世界最重要レーベルTRANSMATの数少ないアルバムリリースの2004年のカタログの一枚として、日輪を意味するSANS SOLEILのファーストアルバム「SANS SOLEIL」はその輝きを放った。プロデューサーMICHAEL TROMMERは、デトロイトのフェスティヴァルMOVEMENTへの召還後TRANSMATが失速して行くとともに、FRANCOIS K.のWAVE MUSIC初めさまざまなベテランレーベルから12インチをリリースし、2008年、立ち上げ前のFOUNTAIN MUSICと出会う。その膨大なDEMOをレーベルと共同でセレクトする作業、そして配信を繰り返し、徐々にそのコネクションを近づけている。そして、TRANSMATからのファーストアルバムをしのぐこのアルバムは、RECLOOSEのアルバムPERFECT THINGやHIATUS ON HORIZON、LANDED等でヴォーカルを務めるデトロイトきっての歌姫GENEVIEVEとの楽曲を含む数十曲と言うストックの中から選りすぐられた「美しさ」で、またもまばゆくその全貌を明らかにした。

カヴァーワークの写真は2008年に世界で最も権威のある写真のコンペティション'PHOTO OF THE YEAR'のエロティック部門で金賞を獲得したRIKKI KASSOによる柔らかい淡さと激しさの共存する作品である。
